Contagious - Foundry Songs: Volume 1

The Foundry opened as a coffeehouse where artist sang their songs. The historic brick building, less than five minutes from downtown Nashville TN was the original foundry where metal parts were made for Marathon Motorcars factory (of 1912).

One Friday night at 10 p.m., an all-night worship vigil began…a type of “musical prayer” beyond description. This moving experience stirred the group to “take Jesus at his word” and to go and try to “minister to the least of these”. (see Matt. 25:31-46) As this downtown outreach expanded, the vision developed into a non-profit ministry called Provision. The Foundry became the home base. As this creative community gave themselves to serving the poor and the lost, the Lord began to give them songs… many songs. These songs touched hearts and changed lives… and became known as the Foundry Songs.
